Chapters 3 and 4

Yesterday I thought about how war is much more different than how I imagined. I also talked about how I thinks having a tavern owner for a dad is much better than a farming dad. I talked about what I do when I can. Then one day my friend Betsy tells me my brother Sam will be back soon but she doesn't know when.
               Today I went to the tavern to find my dad getting asked where his gun was while they pointed a sword at his stomach, My dad kept saying that Sam took it but the Rebels didn't believe him and kept asking. Once my father calmed down and stopped yelling did they believe him. I decided to get the family gun from Sam at Warrup’s barn. when I got there I tried multiple times to get the gun from the heavily sleeping Sam. When I finally pried the gun from Sam, I started to run home as fast as he could. About half way home I realized that Sam was chasing me.I knew Sam would catch me soon but kept running.When Sam did catch up, I threatened to shoot him but, Sam distracted me long enough to get the gun back. Sam and I then talked for a minute and started  to go home even though the Rebels can’t see Sam because he could get hanged for deserting his group. When Sam and I get home Sam sees that his father is home and turns and runs.
